At EquiSportMedWe have a team of highly qualified professionals who are passionate about equine medicine. Our commitment is to provide excellent veterinary care, backed by solid training and experience in equine care, with a focus on pre-purchase examinations, lameness diagnosis and equine sporting performance.

Principal veterinarians

Antonio Andrades Merchán, DVM, CertEspCEq

  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Cordoba (1995-2000).
  • Experience in equine hospitals in Spain and England, including stays in prestigious institutions such as Three Counties Equine Hospital (UK) and Royal Veterinary College (London).
  • Member of AVEE, BEVA e ISELPwith specialisation in sports medicine and musculoskeletal pathologies.
  • Passionate about sport, outreach and animal welfare.

Alejandro Fernández Blanco, DVM, CertEspCEq

  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Cordoba (2004-2009).
  • Interns in equine hospitals in Spain and Europe, specialising in musculoskeletal problems.
  • Member of AVEE, BEVA e ISELPwith continuous training in the diagnosis and treatment of lameness.
  • Contributor to international equine clinical publications and conferences.
